Tour De Force Theatre has been producing exciting and innovative professional touring theatre since 1996.
Tour de Force's founder and artistic director Peter Joucla conceived a flexible, international company which could present new literary and film adaptations alongside acknowledged theatrical classics. Over the past fifteen years the company has built up a reputation for its pioneering work in both English and French theatre, as well as for the quality and originality of its productions. Tour De Force is a non-profit organisation.
Peter Joucla has directed over fifty productions, which have toured to large-scale venues around the world. These productions were produced and managed by Grantly Marshall and American Drama Group Europe (www.adg-europe.com).
Tour De Force Productions have also been staged in London, at Wilton’s Music Hall, Southwark Playhouse and the Spiegel Tent at Winterville, Hackney.
From 2008 – 2014 the company was based at the TDF Studios in Well St, Hackney. The space became a successful venue and studio, hosting a wide variety of creative artists including Franz Ferdinand, the Kings Cross Hot Club, and the photographer Matthew Houston.
